11 Days Kenya Family Safari Combined with Mombasa Beach Holiday

Welcome to Kenya! Kenya is one of the best countries in Africa for seeing large concentrations of animals throughout the year. Come explore Lake Nakuru- a breeding ground for flamingo- up to 2 million birds migrate here; Kenya is a birdwatchers dream, with more than 1,000 species recorded. Then, the Maasai Mara- Kenya’s Maasai Mara National Reserve is renowned for the Great Migration of millions of herbivores and the Maasai and Samburu tribes people live and tend to their livestock alongside the resident wildlife. Finally, explore Kenya’s coast- with its beautiful beaches, spectacular coral reefs and fascinating towns with an Arabic flavor.

Day 1: Nairobi, Kenya

Arrival at (Jomo Kenyatta) International Airport and transferred to the hotel. A welcome meeting will be held to give you an overview of your safari and what to expect. Dinner is not included tonight, but there are many good restaurants available in the city.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru

Transfer by road to Lake Nakuru, where you will enjoy an afternoon game drive. This is a very scenic drive via the Rift Valley. When in season hundreds of flamingos can be seen on the lake. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner at the lodge.

Day 3: Lake Naivasha

Transfer by road to Lake Naivasha. Here you have the option of visiting Elsamere Farm and going on a scenic boat ride. Please note these are at an additional expense and can be arranged directly with your guide. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner at the lodge.

Day 4: Maasai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast leave Naivasha for Maasai Mara arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, take an afternoon game drive. Breakfast at the lodge/camp Days 5 & 6: Maasai Mara Game Reserve
On these days you’ll spend your mornings and evenings on game drives through the Maasai Mara. You can also partake in an optional balloon safari over the reserve. This activity is possible on both days, but recommended for day 6. The balloon safari is a popular activity, so pre-booking is essential to avoid disappointment. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner the lodge/camp.

Days 5 & 6: Maasai Mara Game Reserve

On these days you’ll spend your mornings and evenings on game drives through the Maasai Mara. You can also partake in an optional balloon safari over the reserve. This activity is possible on both days, but recommended for day 6. The balloon safari is a popular activity, so pre-booking is essential to avoid disappointment. Day 7: Nairobi – Mombasa

After breakfast you are transferred to the Maasai Mara Airstrip for your flight to Nairobi to connect to you flight to mombasa. Dinner the Beach Resort.

Days 8, 9 & 10: Mombasa North Beach

Two days at leisure to relax on the beach or take in various optional activities on offer; visit Mombasa Old Town, Mombasa Marine National Park, boat trips and various water sports. Please note all of these activities are at an additional cost.
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner at the Beach Resort

Day 11: Mombasa - Depart

Today you will be transferred to Mombasa (Moi) International Airport in time to catch your international flight home. Services end upon arrival at the airport.
